SDSU DoArch is currently the only new architecture program at a public university in the US. The first students were enrolled in Fall 2010 and the accreditation process has begun. This is the first professional program in the state of South Dakota. We offer two degrees, a non-professional Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a professional Master of Architecture.

DoArch is a small program training design students for professional practice in small firms in small places.  The department is focused on an interactive, haptic and performance based curriculum rooted in fundamental issues of professional architecture and design practice.  Our graduates will know how to make buildings well and how to make good places using good buildings.
