The workshop explores the architectural challenges of material exploration with the ambiguous goal of screen making. Through the study and use of various thermoplastics, and without the aid of a vacuum forming table, the molding, fabrication, and replication of parts evolved into a textural screen installation.
The final screen is composed of 176 cross-shaped pieces of white acrylic, interlocked into a woven entry emblem for the unit. Each piece was molded using CNC cut forms, and then installed as a curtain held away from a base using hidden stand-offs.
